Professional charges for valuation services are fixed by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers which is formed and regulated under the Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers Act 1981 and rules made under the Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Rules 1986. The Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers formalised scale of professional charges for valuation (other than for the Securities Commission, The Governor of Bank Negara and, Plant, Machinery & Equipment) is as follows:-
1/4% on the first 100,000
1/5% on the residue up to 2 million
1/6% on the residue up to 7 million
1/8% on the residue up to 15 million
1/10% on the residue up to 50 million
1/15% on the residue up to 200 million
1/20% on the residue up to 500 million
1/25% on the residue over 500 million
Minimum fee RM400
The professional charges are subjected to 6% service tax with disbursements, travelling and out-of-pocket expenses, which are additional.
However, we are permitted to provide a pre-determined maximum discount on the professional fees.
